This unique 10 hour, 5 session series of continuing professional development for professional saddle fitters will broadcast from within the jurisdiction of the UK. It was created in partnership with the Professional Saddle Fitters Society to provide professional saddle fitters in the UK with top up knowledge to help optimise their professional practice. Overseas attendees should nevertheless find the information a useful signposting exercise.

Webinar attendance certificates will be issued to all attendees who request them.

Carefully formulated as an enjoyable and very useful programme to support saddle fitting businesses, sessions will explore how saddle fitting clients can experience an enhanced customer service from their fitters. Questions such as, What do I do when a client is not happy with the saddle I have supplied them with? How can I advertise with confidence? How do I promote my business effectively using a website and social media strategy? How can I take the pain out of my accounting? What safety and safeguarding laws apply to me as a saddle fitter? How do I conduct risk assessments to maintain safety of myself, my clients and their horses within the saddle fitting environment? How do I record accidents that occur when I’m working?

The series covers:

  • Current UK Retailing Law for saddle fitters together with interactive client complaint case studies (2 sessions).
  • Sales, public relations and marketing techniques for saddle fitters.
  • Risk Assessment in Equitation/Equine Practice.
  • Basic Book-Keeping for Saddle Retailers.

Beginning at 18.30 London Time and lasting up to 2 hours, the series of 5 webinars are held on a Monday over a 6 week period, commencing Jan 31st with UK retailing law. Part 2 of this session will take place on Feb 7th. There will be another practice and professionalism topic on Feb 21st.. The final 2 sessions will resume on Feb 28th and March 7th. Replays will be available for review for 14 days after each presentation.
